Save The Dates

Save the dates are finally done and all sent out! Hope everyone liked them as much as I did.

I loved the idea of doing magnets, so from the beginning I knew that is what I was going to do just had to figure out the rest.  First I had someone design what the magnet was going to look like. Then had them printed on regular sized printer paper. I think it make 9 to a sheet. Bought magnet sheets from orientaltrading.com 12 sheets for $10 bucks. Making the magnets was so much harder then what my mom and I could have ever imagined. We ended up only making the larger magnets for close family/friends and ordered business sized magnets from vistaprint.com for everyone else. I can't remember how much they exactly were but I know they weren't to expensive and we got the first 25 for free. The inside of the cards I designed on microsoft word and had the front of the card professionally designed and printed. I made the envelopes using my amazing cricut machine! They were a little time consuming but totally worth it. Embossed the back of the envelopes with bronze embossing powder from hobby lobby. Bought the return address stamp from stores.ebay.com/loongchai74 on ebay for only about $8 bucks! My amazing mother hand wrote all the address with a silver metallic pen. Came out so pretty and elegant :)

BM Dresses

After endless searching and multiple shops later we have found the one!

From the beginning I knew I wanted long formal dresses with shimmer and lots of bling :) In either a chocolate brown or light blue. I wasn't really finding to much at the first bridal shop that "wowed" me. Even though they had some wonderful dresses they just weren't what I was looking for. Here are a few the girls tried on....they were such troopers :)

The light blue one was our favorite from the first shop. I wanted to keep looking, I knew that perfect dress was out there somewhere just waiting to be found. As you can see there is a huge difference in the two dress shops. At the second shop we found a few possibles and more of the style of dresses I was looking for. They didn't have much of a selection yet as they were fairly new still. But from the selection of dresses they did have we found three that we really liked. Here they are...

I knew for sure that I LOVED the blue dress. It was sooooo stunning and had everything I was looking for :). I really liked the gray dress also. I was torn, do I have my MOH wear the third dress  and BM wear the first dress all in light blue. Or do I have my MOH wear the third dress in chocolate brown and be different from the BM. Or just have them all wear the same...O man for the possiblities! I thought it through and decided to have them all wear the first dress in light blue! Couldn't be happier with my choice!!!! Glad it's over though :D

Coloring Books for the Kiddos

I was so inspired by other brides creative and amazing coloring books for their wedding day. That I thought I would give it a try and attempt to make one myself. I have to say with a few long hours one night and many do over's later. I finally ended up with something I really liked. Just have to do a few finishing touches like tying the pages together with a brown ribbon.  We are having a beach theme wedding so of coarse Little Mermaid made perfect sense for our book. I am also planning on making personalized wrappers for crayons to go along with the books...but that will be for a different day and blog :D

Vendors...Check!

I have some FANTASTIC news. I am done searching for vendors!

Venue – Check!

Church/Officiant – Check Check!
Dress place – Check!
Photography – Check!
Bakery – Tasty check!

I can't explain how it feels to have all these done. With a few bumps along the way, it all worked out great. I am very happy with everything. I didn't realize how frustrating picking out the perfect vendors could be. I never saw myself as a picky person until wedding planning. I want every little detail to be PERFECT. I can't help it!  lol  its the brides big day so its suppose to be perfect right? Now onto all those details I previously stated...I love diy projects!

My Centerpieces

I am doing two different centerpieces for the wedding. I am still working on the other one right now so I will post that later in a different blog :D For this one it will have about 6 real white calla lilies in them. I used foam ones just to get an idea and vision. Made a few other items to go around the mirror. Made candles with real Florida seashells. Thanks so much to my family for shipping them to me while they were on vacation there over Christmas time.  Also have shell table name holders that I got from Oriental Trading (love that place) and spray painted them silver! Love the way they turned out. Still might change a few things to them. But for now I just love them!

Candy Buffet

Dum Dum Wreath Sign

This was super simple and inexpensive to make. Bought a foam wreath from hobby lobby (with coupon) and a large bag of 300 dum dum's from sams club. First I snapped the sticks just a little bit so they wouldn't poke through the back. I then covered the front and just enough around the edges so that you couldn't see green but still would lay flat against wall. Last I just added brown ribbon and typed up a sign. Love the way it turned out!
